In Annapolis, we do Independence Day big! Major 4th of July events in Annapolis include the Independence Day Parade, live entertainment at Market House and the City Dock, and finally the big Annapolis fireworks show. Head to the Spa Creek Bridge for a great vantage point.
Maryland Renaissance Festival
August – October | Revel Grove in Crownsville, MD
For two months in the late summer, weekends belong to the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Guests drive in from all over the region to experience the nation's second largest Renaissance festival. Highlights include costumed performances, live jousting, and hearty fair food.
Naval Academy Plebe Parents' Weekend

The hardworking plebes, or freshmen, at the U.S. Naval Academy enjoy their first opportunity to visit with their families since Induction Day in early July. Includes a full weekend of activities.
Maryland Renaissance Festival

A formal opportunity for midshipmen at the USNA to visit with their families during the semester. Parents have the opportunity to sit in on classes with the midshipmen, meet the superintendent and commandant, and more.
United States Sailboat Show
October | Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and City Dock
They don't call Annapolis "America's Sailing Capital" for nothing. The United State Sailboat Show is the country's oldest and largest new, in-water boat show. No show has a wider and more diverse selection of vintage, modern and custom sailboats. The U.S. Sailboat Show is followed one weekend later by the United States Powerboat Show.
